Privacy Policy

WithCoach ("we", "us", or "our") operates the WithCoach mobile application and the withcoach.app website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize those services to share.

Videos and Content: Videos you import, record, or upload are stored locally on your device. If you use cloud sync (Pro or Coach plan), videos are uploaded to secure cloud storage associated with your account.

Usage Data: We collect analytics about how you use the app — such as features used, session duration, and which steps you complete or leave in flows like onboarding — to understand and improve the experience. This data is associated with a pseudonymous identifier (not your name or email) and is processed by Amplitude. We do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

Error Diagnostics: When the app or our servers encounter an unexpected error, we use Sentry to collect limited technical diagnostics such as the app or server version, operating system, error type, stack trace, and the operation that failed. We configure error reports not to include videos, screenshots, session replays, request bodies, authentication tokens, invitation links, signed storage URLs, email addresses, or local video paths.

Subscription Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat but never see your payment details.

Coaching Data: If you use coaching features, we store coach-athlete connection data, shared videos, feedback, and activity feed posts on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's functionality
• To sync your data across devices (if you opt in)
• To enable coaching features between coaches and athletes
• To process and manage your subscription
• To improve the app based on usage patterns
• To send important service notifications

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Videos in cloud sync are stored in Cloudflare R2 with encryption. We use HTTPS for all communications and JWT tokens for API authentication.

Local-only data (videos not synced) never leaves your device.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers: Cloudflare (storage), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Amplitude (analytics), Sentry (error diagnostics), Apple/Google (authentication)
• Your coach or athletes: If you use coaching features, shared videos and feedback are visible to both coach and athlete in the connection
• Legal requirements: If required by law

5. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your data through the app
• Delete: Use Delete Account in the app. You are signed out immediately; stored media is securely reclaimed before the account is permanently removed. See account deletion for details.
• Export: Your locally stored videos are accessible through the Files app
• Opt out: You can use the app without cloud sync (data stays on device only)

6. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
